Cities of the Dispossessed and the Politics of Hope

To conclude the month of June and the theme “political participation & the state,” University of Chicago, Distinguished Service Professor of Anthropology, Alan Kolata, will speak on “cities of the dispossessed and the politics of hope.” He will reflect on the struggles of the least privileged city dwellers to gain recognition and self-governance under conditions of extreme inequality.

This will be a dinner salon with a three course meal including wine and champagne cooked by a professional chef.
